Mayank Rawat returns, this time to collect the perfectly timed innings of the match award!
Simarjeet Singh (East Delhi Riders captain): "(On the first win of the team in his first game as captain) It was really fun. This was our first win, but we'd like to focus on the next match. This match is over now; on to the next match.
(On whether their first innings total felt enough) We were thinking that we'd get past 200, having targeted 220. We lost wickets all of a sudden, and focused on what was the maximum score we could get. What we got was a lot better.
(On the comeback with the ball) Mayank and I were talking a lot about what we could do, what the best plan is; both of us had two overs each. One end is small, the other is big. We were deciding which end we needed to bowl from, which end we could save more, and that worked for us in the end.
(On the backing from the fielders) We dropped a few catches too, but we caught the crucial ones. We dropped the not-so-crucial ones (chuckles)."

Mayank Yadav (POTM): "[On his pace variations] So far I have learned that as a bowler I need to change my bowling according to the conditions and the demands of the game. The result will more likely fall in my favour then.
[On the team finally getting off the mark] It happens in T20 cricket. It is not very predictable. If someone clicks on a certain day, you guarantee performance from them on every occasion. However, today the combination sat well together. Everything was in a good flow.
[On his season so far] Mixed feelings sir. The last two games did not go well. When I had joined the team, my only motive was to give my best effort and try and get wins for the team."

East Delhi Riders finally notch up a win in this season's DPL. They will now face the top 3 teams in the table on the bounce and will be tested to the core. New Delhi Tigers have still not been able to sort their problems with the bat and would try to at least put in one complete batting performance before the season ends.
