Prashant Veer (Noida Kings Captain): "(Thoughts on the win) It was a very good win for us, especially if you talk about the bowlers. They bowled really well, which made the chase much easier for us. It gave us a lot of confidence because we really needed a win like this. Our batting was also good today. The way Eddie bhai played his innings, especially on this wicket, was very special for us. And Naman’s bowling on this wicket was also excellent. His form has come back, which is another very good thing for us.
(About the terrific display of bowling from Noida Super Kings today) Naman wasn’t performing well in every match, but that happens sometimes. Maybe the timing wasn’t right, maybe luck wasn’t on his side, or catches were being dropped. But we always had complete belief in him that whenever he got his opportunities, he would perform well because he has been playing with us for the last four years and has always done well. Especially in his debut match, the way Vans bowled for us, it put us in a very strong position in many matches. It’s difficult to bowl an off-spinner in the powerplay, especially against right-handed batters, but he proved himself when we backed him.
(On his learning from MS Dhoni and his time with CSK) There are a lot of things. If I start telling you everything right now, it will take a lot of time, and we don’t have that much time at the moment. We’ll sit down sometime when we’re free and talk about it properly."
