9:06 PM IST, 7:36 PM Local Time: Moeen Ali has finished with five consecutive boundaries. Ajman Titans have won the game by six wickets. Northern Warriors have lost their second game of the tournament while Titans have registered their first victory of the season.
Electing to bat first, Warriors lost their opener Colin Munro (2) early in the innings. After him, Shimron Hetmyer (6) and skipper Thisara Perera (7) also failed to make any impact. However, opening batter Johnson Charles continued hitting from the other end and ensured that the team's run-rate didn't go down drastically.
He was ably supported by Odean Smith as well, who made 17 off 10. Things were going very well for the Warriors until Titans' slingy action seam bowler Zaman Khan took a hat-trick in the ninth over.
Charles stayed unbeaten till the last and went on to make 60* (23). Warriors ended with a score of 118/7.
The pick of the bowler in the first innings was Zaman with figures of 4/19.
In reply, Titans had a flying start as their opening batters, especially Aneurin Donald (31), smashed 24 runs in the first over of the second innings.
The Warriors bowlers took wickets from time to time but skipper Moeen Ali played a brilliant innings of 33 from 8 balls. He smashed five consecutive boundaries off Tabraiz Shamsi in the 8th over to win the game for his side with two overs left in the game.
Azmatullah Omarzai bowled well for Warriors and took 2/15 in his two overs.
Moeen Ali-led Titans have registered their first win of this year's tournament and they will want to continue their form from here.
