Ben Stokes (England Captain): "Yeah, it’s obviously disappointing to lose games and series. We faced some challenges in these last two matches, but we just weren't able to meet them. Full credit to Pakistan for the way they played in those games. Next time we encounter challenges in all their different shapes and forms around the world, we need to be ready. In a few weeks, we’ll face more challenges in New Zealand, so we’ll have to try to match those as well.
You know, summer finished late for us at home. We had guys playing in some one-day cricket series before we came out here. But the lads train incredibly hard. We're always working on our game and striving to improve.
However, when you get out in the middle, it’s a completely different experience. The pressures of Test match cricket can never compare to training. All we can do is work hard and do our best to become better players. That’s certainly what we always aim to do.
Yeah, definitely. Whether you perform well or not as you would like, you should always try to take the positives from the experience. Regardless of the result here, there have been some incredible individual performances from certain players in our team throughout the series. Looking ahead to our upcoming tour in New Zealand and into the summer, there’s certainly a lot to take away from this.
Yeah, I think so. When you consider that aspect, it’s great to see Rehan and Bash (Bashir) playing Test cricket again, especially in front of their families. We know how much that means to both of them. For their parents to be there, watching their sons play Test cricket and perform well is something truly special. Both are incredibly talented cricketers."
