Babar Azam (Player of the Match): "The demand wasn’t very high. It felt like, when Allah has written something, it happens. At the point where I got out, I was focusing more on that specific moment. And regarding playing in Pakistan, I was trying to make the most of the time I had in the middle.

It feels really good that I was able to overtake a great Pakistani player like Saeed Anwar in terms of innings, in which he had scored twenty centuries and some of Pakistan’s highest scores.

Alhamdulillah, I think the leads I had were fewer, which makes it even more special for me.
The main point is, I will try to perform well in all the upcoming matches. I think performing like this, achieving such feats in Pakistan, gives me a lot of happiness."
Charith Asalanka (Sri Lanka Captain): "I am on the same page. We were at least 20-30 runs short. The top-order didn't fire again. Previous tournaments, our top-order has scored a lot of hundreds but in this series, we have been out of radar. There were a lot of wides and extras. It is hard to come back again on a wicket like this."
Salman Ali Agha (Pakistan Stand-in Captain): "From the balcony, watching on in terms of, because Babar is the highlight tonight, that partnership, big partnerships, 1st wicket, 2nd wicket, and 3rd wicket, must give you a lot of confidence from the top order.

I think it's a complete betting performance from us. Like, from the opening partnership, we had a great start, and then, like, number 3, Babar came, and then, we had a great partnership.
We had, like, 3 very good partnerships. When you're chasing 280-odd, you need partnership, and we chased it really well.

(About breaking down the game into the first part and electing to bowl first) It was important for the bowlers to deliver. Abrar (Ahmed) was very good, Haris (Rauf) again in that wicket. It's what really set the game up. Yeah, I think it was always a 320, 330 kind of wicket, and we managed to stick them on 290, and I was always, I was very, very happy, because I knew it. 290 is very, very, very gettable.

(What about the crowd in Rawalpindi?) The cheers for you guys is always there. Well, wherever we go, they come in numbers, and especially in Pindi, they always have a house full, and I'm very happy, and hopefully, they can come on Sunday as well. Salman, great result tonight. Go well in the last game. Thank you very much. And that's all we have from the press."
So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj and my co-commentators Dev, AkshayaKrishna Polya, Saptak Sanyal and Deepak Prakash as we wrap up the coverage of this fixture.
