Earlier coming to bat, the FATA side posted 180 runs from the 20 overs. Rehan Afridi, the FATA opener scored an unbeaten 90 run knock to power his team to a high score. He was well accompanied by Kashif Noor who scored 32 runs off 24 balls. Khushdil Shah struggled in the middle and perished on 15. Salman Khan JNR played a quick cameo of 21 runs of 13 balls. Rehan scored 8 boundaries and 4 maximums to score 90 off 56 balls.
Mohammad Imran JNR, Abbas Afridi and Iftikhar Ahmed took a wicket each for the Peshawar side.
Coming to chase the run, the debutant Sajjad Ibrahim went back cheaply scoring just 11 runs. But the experienced Sahibzada Farhan continued to hit the boundaries and he was well accompanied by Israrullah, who scored 25 runs. After Israrullah's dismissal, Sahibzada Farhan got run out scoring 74 runs. In the middle overs, Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Haris was well restricted by the FATA spinners. Haris went back scoring just 12 runs. When 29 was the ask from the final two overs, Iftikhar stepped up and hit Sameen Gul for 23 in the penultimate over and that was the turning point of the game. Eventually Iftikhar and Azmat(17*) took their team home.
For the FATA side, skipper Khushdil Shah took 2 wickets only and the other two dismissal were from run-out.

Sahibzada Farhan(Player of the match)- "Thanks to the almighty that I am performing well. I always look to hit big in the powerplay. I told Sajjad Ibrahim that I will take the bowlers on in the powerplay. I use a special grip while batting that helps me to hit the balls well."
Khushdil Shah(FATA captain)- "The way we had the discussion with the batters, we said them to take the game deep and take the bowlers on. We did a few mistakes in the field and our bowling could've been better.
Their bowlers are more experienced and they have bowled well. They executed slower balls, short balls better than us and that's where they got an advantage.
We played the season well. We have given 8 to 9 debuts in the season and they have performed well. With more experience in the domestic side, I think they will be a better player in the future."
