Kangayan was the pick of the batters for Puducherry , playing a fluent knock of 60 from 68 balls to keep the required rate in check early on. However, during the middle overs the boundaries dried up and the pressure mounted, leading to regular wickets. After the second drinks break, Tamil Nadu’s bowling spearhead Gurjapneet Singh turned the game decisively by striking twice in consecutive deliveries.
