9:00 PM IST, 5:30 PM Local Time: India Under-19 have thrashed South Africa Under-19 by eight wickets under the DLS method in the second Youth ODI. The Vaibhav Suryavanshi-led side has won the series already, with one more game to go!
Suryavanshi and Aaron George gave India a stupendous start, with the former literally dealing in maximums. The duo had an opening stand of 67 runs, with George falling on 20 off 19 balls. However, the Indian U19 captain continued to score a fifty off 19 balls. He even went berserk after scoring his fifty, but got out to Michael Kruiskamp on 68 in 24 balls, smoking 10 biggies and a solitary four.
When it looked Kruiskamp would bring the South Africans back into the game, the rain intervened. It paused the game for more than two hours. It eventually brought down the target to 174 runs. Abhigyan Kundu and Vedant Trivedi provided India the finishing touches as they got over the line in 23.3 overs, with over three overs to go.
Stay put for the post-match presentation!
