Suryavanshi and Aaron George gave India a stupendous start, with the former literally dealing in maximums. The duo had an opening stand of 67 runs, with George falling on 20 off 19 balls. However, the Indian U19 captain continued to score a fifty off 19 balls. He even went berserk after scoring his fifty, but got out to Michael Kruiskamp on 68 in 24 balls, smoking 10 biggies and a solitary four.
When it looked Kruiskamp would bring the South Africans back into the game, the rain intervened. It paused the game for more than two hours. It eventually brought down the target to 174 runs. Abhigyan Kundu and Vedant Trivedi provided India the finishing touches as they got over the line in 23.3 overs, with over three overs to go.

Muhammed Bulbulia (South Africa U19 Captain): "Yeah, when you choose to bat first, you need to score more. There were partnerships but they were too few. But still, I think 250 is not a bad score. But the way the Indian openers played, they almost took the game away from us early on.
(On rain-affected matches) It's not easy. Scores are changing. Bowlers and conditions are changing. Obviously, when you don't score too much and then the DLS method comes down, it eats you quite a bit.
(Plans for final match) Communication is gonna have to be a lot better. We need to improve on that.
(On playing surface) To be honest, it didn't played the way the way we expected. We thought it might turn a lot more but it didn't. Still, it held up very well. I think the groundsmen did an excellent job of preparing such a good wicket."

Vaibhav Suryavanshi (India U19 Captain & POTM): "Nothing, I just focus on my batting and my strength. I knew that the score was not daunting, so I backed myself. I aim to translate what I do in practice into the matches I play. I love playing on the ofside as well as on the leg-side of the field. I think, Harvansh (Pangalia) and Ambrish RS bailed us out in the last game. Harvansh is the most talented batter in our side."
With one more game to go, South Africa Under-19 will play for pride, while India Under-19 will be eager to whitewash the Proteas.
