Ryan Rickelton (Player of the Match): "Over the moon to get the win. Reflecting back on the first 2 days, it hasn't sunk in. Overall, it was a hell of a series and glad to see the guys pulling it off.
It's definitely not as easy as it seems. The new ball is always tough no matter where you play it in the world. Once I wrapped my head around and mentally it was about trusting me and trying to do what I could do for a long period of time and luckily this week it came through.
When you get out there and get in a bit of groove so it's easy to get ahead of yourself. The thoughts come to you like what could happen if you stay another half an hour out there. I try to stay in the present, try and stay true to what I am and just focus on the job at hand. The longer I do it, the longer I can bat.
I felt the vibe. I felt they were behind me the whole way. I love playing here, the support that we get here. My family is here as well, a special Test match. It should hopefully be fine till Thursday. It's a slight strain and we will monitor it."

Marco Jansen (Player of the Series): "Obviously! I didn't actually expect this award. Very, very pleased.
Yeah, for me, it's obviously a lot of work for all of us. For me, it is about contributing every possible time for the team. I try to impact the team in a positive way, no matter the situation. I try to impact the team whenever I get an opportunity.
I like to contribute anytime, with the new ball, when the ball gets older, or coming into bat. Trying to get the team into a position of winning is the priority. Regardless of the result or individual outcome, I am happy when the team wins.
That's what makes the great players great. Make a plan when it's not going your way or the pitch is flat. I didn't feel good with the bat, but to come out and score that fifty was really pleasing. That 60-odd felt really good; I saw the ball nicely and middled. It's a lot easier to bat 120 overs than to bowl 120 overs (chuckles)."

Shan Masood (Pakistan Captain): "Lot of good things have come out. Knowing that we did well at the Centurion but couldn't close out. Credit to South Africa. In this Test I think conceding too many runs initially and we folded quite early with the bat when it was a really nice surface which surprised everyone. The fightback - highest score against South Africa - is something you look up to.
In the England series we bounced back, we lost two against Bangladesh as well. For us the lesson is to hit the first punch. Sometimes you fail and learn which is the hard way but we have some great guys in the side and they will learn well.
I never look at personal milestones. You want anything you do well to end up in a winning cause whether it's a 30 or a double hundred. The fight back with Babar, we almost got through the day without losing a wicket. His character, stepping up when we lost Saim to open the innings. There have been some characteristics from lot of individuals in this team who stepped up when the team required them to."

Temba Bavuma (South Africa Captain): "The result pleases me the most! We won the first game in Centurion. We qualified for the WTC final. We had some time before coming here so the guys could get themselves up and get motivated, with us still looking for the victory coming to the Newlands. That is what makes me pleasing.
At the end of it all, it's quite satisfying. It is a good old Test cricket we are kind of used to. There was something for the new ball bowlers, and then it flattened out, and our batters dug in for a good score. It's what we were accustomed to growing up. It will put us in good stead, but there are also lessons about how we can get better.
It was very enjoyable with Kwena (Maphaka) in the team. Exuberance of youth. You want that in the team. A guy who's super confident and wants to be in the contest. He never had his head down and always wanted to make a play for the team. Yeah, very enjoyable with Kwena.
