Southern Brave won by 6 wickets 🏆

NIKHIL:
So, we are done here with Southern Brave winning it by 6 wickets.
Trent
Rockets started a bit cautiously as they scored 27 for the loss of 1 wicket in
the first set of 25 deliveries. Alex Hales and Cadmore departed too soon for
the liking of the Rockets. Malan and Patel batted well as they scored 51 for the third
wicket partnership. Dawid Malan played a good hand with 59 runs.
For
Southern Brave, Hogan and Fuller took a couple of wickets. Sterling and Lintott
took a wicket each.
In
reply to the target set by the Rockets, Southern Brave started in a sluggish manner
losing 2 wickets in the first set of 25 deliveries, scoring just 15 runs.
Sterling
departed too early without even troubling the scorers. Quinton De Kock tried to
build a good partnership with Davies but he fell on a score of 24 runs. Davies
was the stand-out batter as he scored 51 runs today bringing his team home. Tim
David played a good cameo at the end of 19 runs in just 6 deliveries.
For
Trent Rockets, Cook and Wood started so well dismissing Sterling and Vince without
even opening their individual scores. Sam Cook took a couple of wickets. Wood
and Gregory took a wicket too.
"This will go down as one of the best innings I've played. Whiteley and Tim David helped me well. I am lucky to be wearing the medal but both of them did it for us. The hallmark of this team is that we will fight till the end and it has been the mantra of success for us."
"The pitch was tough to bat on as the ball was gripping up a bit and caused trouble. Davies and Ross Whiteley played a gem. Tim David and those guys can come in and just go straightaway smashing any opponent and that's a massive advantage we have. The process remains the same we will keep the aggressive mindset on and will hope that it pans out well for us."
