9:28 PM IST, Local Time: Wow, what a collapse from Afghanistan as they collapsed from 128/2 at one stage to 153 all out in 33.5 overs. They were in the chase, but lost their way and the flood gates opened thereafter. Hasaranga started it and finished things off in style.
Chasing a target of 309 for a series levelling win, Afghanistan lost Rahmanullah Gurbaz early. Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah had a good partnership as they both scored half centuries. Zadran scored 54 while Rahmat scored 63. But the rest of the batters fell by the wayside thereafter as they collapsed from 128/2 to 153 all out in 33.5 overs. 10 extras given by the fielding side.
Wanindu Hasaranga did the star turn with figures of 4/27 in 6.5 overs. A couple of wickets for Asitha Fernando and Dilshan Madushanka who was on a hat-trick once. A wicket to Pramod Madushan as well. All in all, a great bowling display for the hosts to take a 2-0 lead in the 3-match series.
