Earlier in the day, the Northern Superchargers were put into bat by Sophie Ecclestone. The Superchargers got of to a decent start with the bat.
The openers, Davina Perrin (16 off 15) and Skipper, Hollie Armitage (22 off 18) got the home side to a good start. The third wicket partnership between Phoebe Litchfield and Annabel Sutherland added a quickfire 39 runs where the latter batted till the end and played a fantastic knock of 44 off 26 balls.
In a belter of a surface, Northern Superchargers managed to score 138/4 in their 100 balls. Lauren Filer (2/16) was the pick of the bowlers for the Manchester Originals. The Manchester Originals Women required to chase down 139 runs in their 100 balls.
In Reply, the Manchester Originals required a quick start with the bat in order to capitalize the powerplay. None of them got going at all as they kept losing wicket at regular intervals.

It felt like you could hit through the line. Really proud of the group. I thought we were under par with such a good wicket but we had the belief in our bowling group that we could defend it.
