Earlier in the game, the Trent Rockets Women won the toss and elected to bat first. The opening duo of Bryony Smith and Grace Scrivens got off to a blistering start, putting together a solid partnership of 47 runs for the first wicket. Skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt then came to the crease, anchoring the innings with an unbeaten 36, helping her team reach a total of 123 runs. From the bowling perspective, Annabel Sutherland was the standout performer for the Northern Superchargers Women, claiming three crucial wickets. As the Northern Superchargers Women began their chase of 124 runs, they struggled to gain momentum, losing wickets at regular intervals. The pitch had slowed down, making batting increasingly difficult. Alana King caused significant damage with her bowling, taking two wickets in the 6th set and disrupting the Superchargers' batting lineup.
