UAE won the toss and elected to bat first, that decision backfired immediately. Keemo Paul snuck through the Waseem's gate off the second ball of the match to draw first blood for the men in maroon. UAE never recovered after that. Their struggles continued as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals without scoring many runs to ultimately be bowled out of 202 in under 48 overs!
Ali Naseer was the only shining light in their innings as the southpaw top scored with a fantastic 58 runs off 52 balls to help UAE breach the 200 run-mark. Keemo Paul was the pick of the bowlers for his scintillating figures of 3/34 from his 7.1 overs!
Come the chase, UAE's only hope was to pick wickets early and put the opposition under pressure but Brandon King and Johnston Charles had other ideas. While King picked up the role of an anchor, Charles gave West Indies a flying start with a cameo of 24 runs from 19 balls. However, it was the former who stole the show today.
