They have maintained the consistency and toiled hard and finally have got the victory. Harsh Dubey leads his team to victory. Head coach is in tears but it is of happiness. They have beaten Saurashtra by 38 runs in the summit clash.
Batting first in this game, Vidarbha got a good start as Aman Mokhade and Atharva Taide added 80 runs for the opening stand. Mokhade got out for 33 but Yash Rathod took the onus. He accompanied Atharva Taide and they together added 133 runs for the second wicket. Rathod scored 54 runs beside his name from 61 balls. But the star of the show was Atharva Taide. He registered a fine hundred and scored 128 off 118 balls before Ankur Panwar took his wicket. His innings included 15 fours and 3 maximums.
Some contributions from Ravikumar Samarth, skipper Harsh Dubey and Mohammed Faiz took the team score to 317/8 from the 50 overs.
For Saurashtra, Ankur Panwar took 4 wickets for 65 runs. Chetan Sakariya ands Chirag Jani also took a couple of wickets each.
Saurashtra came to bat and got a few boundaries early in the innings and the courtesy goes to Harvik Desai and Vishvaraj Jadeja. But both of them got out in a quick succession and that led them to get reduced to 30/2. Prerak Mankad took the innings forward from that position. He got some support from Sammar Gajjar who scored a fine 25 off 36 balls but Parswaraj Rana took 20 balls to score just 7 runs.
Things got better for Saurashtra as two seasoned campaigners, Prerak Mankad and Chirag Jani stepped up. They played some counter attacking cricket to keep their team in the game. Prerak got to his half-century and they together added 93 runs from 89 balls for the 5th wicket. Mankasd got out by the opposition skipper Harsh Dubey for 88 and that led Vidarbha to comeback again in the game. Chirag Jani was still the threat. Ruchit Ahir and Jani added 45 runs for the 6th wicket before Jani got out for 64 off 63 balls. Saurashtra lost their last four wickets for 29 runs and lost the final eventually by 38 runs.
For Vidarbha, Yash Thakur took 4 wickets for 50 runs. Nachiket Bhute took 3 wickets for 46 runs. Darshan Nalkande chipped in with 2 wickets. Harsh Dubey got the important wicket of Prerak.
