Charis Pavely and captain Dean showed flashes of brilliance but they were always behind the 8-ball in that chase. Olra Prendergast, Heather Graham and Sophia Smale picked two wickets each, while Georgia Wareham had one to her name. 

In response, the visitors run chase moved along like an old, broken-down car — stuttering at every turn of the wheel. Grace Potts did the damage early with an excellent display of new ball bowling. Her 3/23 pegged the opposition back and there was no turning around. 

For London Spirit, off-spinners Charlie Dean and Grace Harris impressed the most. The duo combined to pick 5/33 off 35 balls. Alas, the latter did not complete her quota of 20 balls, despite getting the important wickets of Heather Graham and Freya Kemp. 

Georgia Voll and Freya Kemp made the intentions clear early. Both played sprightly cameos in the powerplay to get the team off to a good start. Alas, neither could last long. But then, the skipper walked the talk. Georgia Wareham's splendid half-century got the team to the respectable total of 138/7.

(On her plans with the ball in the powerplay) I have bowled some of my best balls to be honest. It has gone well for me. I have managed to get a bit of swing early on and just tried to nail my best balls. 

(On her preparations) I know my role my early on and it is predominantly in the powerplay. I have a lot of clarity. I have tried to bowl the stock balls and it has come off well for me in the practice. 

(On Georgia Wareham's knock)Georgia Wareham set the game for us and was outstanding with the bat. She got a few for us to defend. 

(On the takeaways from the competition) It has been a bit frustrating and it has been challenging. It has been a mixed bag. We have challenged a few sides. Personally it has been a good competition to assess where I am. Will take a lot from this tournament. 

(On the support from the crowd) A bit thank you to crowd. We couldn't qualify so we had to put up a good performance for them to end the campaign. "
