Chasing a stiff target of 194, Bangladesh were off to a worse possible start, losing opener Mohammad Naim for just 3. The in-form Shakib Al Hasan joined hands with Soumya Sarkar and the duo started the repair work. A rare loose shot from Shakib resulted in his wicket. Despite losing Shakib at a tricky stage of the match, the run-rate was always under control as Sarkar shifted gears and played some handsome looking shots to notch-up his fifty. Bangladesh counter-attacked with a 63-run stand between Sarkar and Mahmudullah. Even with the departure of Sarkar, the asking rate never troubled the batters as boundaries were scored at regular intervals. In the end, a great cameo by Shamim Hossain steered Bangladesh past the victory line with 4 balls to spare.
