That's it Avesh nails the yorker and seals the deal for team India as they win the series by the margin of 3-0. But what an effort from the home side especially Sikandar Raza who almost take the game away from the hands of the Indian side. Relief on the faces of Indian players as they walk back to the pavilion. But what a game of cricket this was here at Harare. In the end, India beat Zimbabwe by 13 runs.
Chasing 290 on this good batting track of Harare. Kaitano and Kaia opened the innings for the home side. Deepak Chahar opened the attack for India and he got the ball to swing both ways and trapped Innocent Kaia in front of the wickets on the score of 6. Kaitano after playing out the initial burst of the pacers walked off the field because of cramps. Experienced Sean Williams came out to bat at number 3 and scored 45 runs from 46 balls as he was trapped in front of the wickets off the bowling of Axar Patel. Tony Munyonga took 31 balls and scored only 15 runs as he mistimed the length delivery straight into the hands of the cover fielder.
Regis Chakabva then joined in hands with Raza in the middle and both of them started to build the partnership but eventually, Chakabva ends up chipping that one straight back into the hands of Axar on the followthrough. Ryan Burl and Luke Jongwe couldn't add too much with the bat and went to the pavilion on the score of 8 and 14 respectively. Then Evans and Raza played some sensational cricket and put on 100 runs partnership which almost took the game away from the hands of the Indian side. But Avesh Khan in the end trapped Evans in front of the wickets and Raza who completed his another magnificent century ended up hitting the fuller-length delivery straight into the hands of a long-on fielder where Gill took superb diving forward catch.
Avesh Khan delivered the final blow as he knocked over Victor Nyauchi to seal the deal. Earlier in the day, it was Shubman Gill's show with the bat as he notched up his maiden century in ODI cricket. With the ball, Evans picked up 5 wickets haul and restricted India to the score of 289. So all and all it was a cracker of a cricket game here at Harare. Stay tuned for the presentations...
