A blazing southpaw and a handy left-arm spinner, Kushal Malla is a professional Nepalese cricketer who has become a mainstay in Nepal’s limited-overs side at the tender age of 17.

Known for his exploits in the shortest format, Kushal Malla was awarded his maiden T20I cap against Zimbabwe on September 27th, 2019. A few months later, the teenager broke his teammate, Rohit Paudel’s record to become the youngest cricketer to score a half-century at the international stages. The southpaw scored 50 off 51 deliveries on his ODI debut against the US at the age of 15 and announced his arrival with some finesse.

In September 2020, Kushal was one of the 18 cricketers to be awarded a central contract by the Nepal Cricket Association. The 17-year old scripted another history in April 2021 when he broke the record of becoming the youngest men’s cricketer to score a half-century in T20 Internationals.
