An elegant left-handed batsman who bowls occasional right arm-medium, Nathon Reardon had all the qualities to become an explosive all-rounder, but with the presence of hugely talented players in the Aussies squad, he never made a serious impression among the selectors to become a regular in the squad.

After moving to Ipswich Grammar School in 2000 to pursue a cricket career, Reardon enjoyed a highly successful and long-standing career as a professional cricketer. A domestic legend, Reardon featured in over 150 games for different franchises which included Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Adelaide Strikers, and Queensland Bulls.

He came to the spotlight when he earned his maiden callup to the Australian team in a T20I fixture against South Africa in November 2014. This was his last series as he didn’t get a chance to represent his country again. Being dropped from the squad, he continued to play in domestic T20 leagues and has played over 40 games in the Big Bash League(BBL).

Reardon announced retirement in November 2018 and has taken up cricket coaching for the Wynnum Manly cricket club and teaching cricket in private schools all across Queensland.
