Muhammad Faizan

Muhammad Faizan, a product of tape-ball cricket, is a dasher with the bat and bowls impressive medium-pace bowling too. Born in the Punjab province of Pakistan, Faizan is a budding cricketer and was picked by Lahore Qalandars as their Emerging category Player pick. 

Faizan has come through the ranks from Pakistan’s grass root levels. At the School level, the allrounder was more inclined towards volleyball, however, his interest changed, and he started playing tape-ball competition in his local area of Nankana Sahib, before shifting base to Faisalabad to take thorough coaching. 

After giving club trials in Faisalabad, he met Aaqib Javed who mentored the budding cricketer and nurtured Faizan for PSL’s Player Development Programme that led the allrounder’s way into Pakistan’s T20 league. He was later selected for the Abu Dhabi T20 league where he played a useful hand for the champion team, Qalandars in 2018. 

For the PSL 5, Faizan was handpicked by Lahore Qalandars in the draft, however, he made his debut for Lahore Qalandars during the MCC's tour of Pakistan. During PSL 2021, the all-rounder was an integral part of the franchise where he was seen rubbing shoulders with the likes of Mohammad Hafeez, Rashid Khan, Shakib Al Hasan, and Fakhar Zaman.
