Binura Fernando

Known for his ability to generate awkward bounce from the surface, Binura Fernando is a Sri Lankan professional cricketer who made his international debut in 2015.
A left-arm medium-pace bowler, Fernando was a part of the Sri Lanka squad for the 2014 ICC U-19 World Cup. He impressed everyone with his pace and bounce and the following year Fernando was called up to the national squad for the T20I series against Pakistan, picking up a wicket in the game.
In 2021, Fernando was included in the Sri Lanka squad for the ODI series against Bangladesh, starting in the month of May.
Despite playing T20I cricket for his nation, Fernando is yet to make his ODI and Test debut.
At 6 ft 6 inches, Fernando was the find of Sri Lankan cricket back in 2014. After scalping 84 wickets in the 2013 domestic competitions, a lot was expected of Fernando, who has so far not been able to replicate his domestic form at the international level.
