Stuart Clark

Often known for his proficient line-lengths, Stuart Clark is a former Australian fast-bowler, who played 24 Tests, 34 ODIs and 9 T20Is. He is the son of Anglo-Indian parents. 

Clark made his First-Class debut for New South Wales in 1998 against Tasmania. However, his dismal form forced him out of the team. 

The right-arm pacer returned as one of the most consistent wicket-takers for five successive domestic seasons from 2001 to 2005. As a result, the Sydney-born finally made his ODI debut against ICC World XI in 2005. 

Later in the same year, Clark registered his best-ever figures of 4/54. A few months later, he was handed a T20I cap as well. 

Soon, the skilful pacer rocked Sri Lanka with figures of 9/89 in his Test debut. He then returned as the leading wicket-taker in the 2006/07 edition of ‘The Ashes’ with 26 scalps in five appearances and helped Australia clinch the series 5-0. 

In the 2007 edition of the T20I World Cup, Clark delivered his best performance of 4/20 against Sri Lanka, which helped the Kangaroos to reach the semi-finals. 

Despite fine performances across all three formats, Clark was dropped and last donned the Baggy Green in August 2009. The lanky pacer finished with 160 wickets across all the formats. 

Following his retirement, Clark served as the team manager of the Sydney Sixers in the inaugural edition of Big Bash League.
