Ryan Sidebottom

A tall right-arm seamer, Ryan Sidebottom made his first-class debut for his native Victoria team in 2013. However, a foot injury kept him away from the game for some time, but a call-up never arrived, forcing the pacer to ply his trade in England. 

After doing well in the 2017 edition of Birmingham and District Premier League Premier Division, the Shepparton-born cricketer was signed by Warwickshire. 

In the 2017 County Championship Division I, the talented seamer scalped 23 wickets in 6 appearances and returned as the team’s third wicket-taker as well. 

In the 2018 edition of County Championship Division I, Sidebottom finished with his best-ever figures of 6/35 against Northamptonshire. Until the end of the season, he had 25 wickets under his belt in 9 matches. 

The 32-year-old seamer missed out on most of the action due to the injury concerns in 2019 and featured in only two fixtures in the 2021 edition. In 2021, Sidebottom featured in the List A and T20 format as well for the Bears. 

Ahead of the 2022 edition, the seamer joined Derbyshire on a one-month loan deal, which was soon extended with his impressive performance of 4/35 against Glamorgan. 

In 25 First-class matches, Sidebottom has 63 wickets at an average of 30.95, with one five-wicket and one 10-wicket haul.
