Cordelia Lauren Griffith has cricket in her blood. The 1995-born cricketer's father, Frank Griffith, is a former county cricketer who played for Derbyshire as a medium-pacer.

Griffith, who was born in London, attained a law degree from Durham University in 2018. There was a time when she even thought of leaving cricket in order to focus more on her law career.

Apart from learning cricket from her father, Griffith became rough and tough by playing the game along with the boys.

At the age of 14, she made her county debut with Essex. Later, she even became the captain of the side and recorded her maiden county century in 2017 against Gloucestershire.

In 2018, the top-order batter joined Middlesex on loan. Later, she became a permanent member of the county side.

In 2021, she was named as Sunrisers' batter of the year and players' player of the year, top-scoring in both regional competitions.

Griffith's family origin is from the Caribbean Islands and she believes that "cricket has brought the Caribbean community together in the UK during the toughest of times".

Her all-time favourite cricketer is legendary West Indies batter Sir Vivian Richards, while in women's cricket, it's former English skipper Charlotte Edwards.

Currently, her Hundred side is the London Spirit.
