A right-arm medium-pace bowler, with an ability to chip in with a few quick runs, Chamika Gunasekara is a Sri Lanka cricketer who still needs some nurturing, if he has to play for his national side.
Gunasekara made his List-A debut for Nondescripts Cricket Club in the 2019-20 20 Invitation Limited Overs Tournament.
After his List-A debut, more good news followed Gunasekara. He finally earned an opportunity to make his much-awaited first-class debut for the Nondescripts Cricket Club in the 2019-20 Premier League Tournament.
So far, Gunasekara has scalped just 2 wickets in four first-class matches. However, his T20 numbers are staggering. The pacer has picked up 19 wickets in 13 T20 matches, at an average of 11.26.
