Tripurana Vijay

Tripurana Vijay is an emerging Indian all-rounder who represents Andhra in domestic cricket and Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Vijay has gained recognition for his effective right-arm off-spin and his ability to contribute valuable runs in the lower order.

A consistent performer in red-ball cricket, he has built a reputation as a match-winner with the ball, highlighted by his ability to take wickets in clusters. He is seen as one of the promising all-round talents rising from India’s domestic circuit.

Tripurana Vijay’s Early Life and Background

Tripurana Vijay was born in a small town in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. Growing up in a region with limited cricketing infrastructure, he began his journey playing on cement pitches and local grounds with minimal facilities. 

His early exposure to cricket came through street games and informal setups before he transitioned into structured training.

Recognising his potential, his coaches encouraged him to move to Visakhapatnam, where he joined a professional academy to refine his skills. 

Tripurana Vijay’s IPL Career

Tripurana Vijay’s IPL journey began when he was signed by Delhi Capitals for INR 30 lakh during the 2025 mega auction. 

During the 2025 season, he remained part of the squad but did not get an opportunity to feature in the playing XI. Despite this, his performances in domestic cricket, particularly in the Ranji Trophy, strengthened his reputation.

Recognising his potential and consistent performances, Delhi Capitals retained him for the 2026 season.
