Arguably the most successful international captain of all time, Ricky Ponting makes a comeback to the IPL as part of the Mumbai Indians this year. The legendary Tasmanian led Australia with distinction for the better part of a decade and won two World Cups as captain. He also won a record 48 Tests as skipper and conquered nearly every foe during his distinguished international career. One of the most prolific batsmen of his generation, Ponting scored a total of 71 international tons. Come IPL 2013, it will be a treat not just for Mumbai Indians’ fans, but the entire cricketing fraternity, to see Ponting play on the same side as another future Hall-of-Famer, Sachin Tendulkar.
