Born on October 5, 1999, Islam has steadily built his reputation in Oman’s domestic structure, turning out for Ruwi Rangers and other local sides. A right-handed batter who can also chip in with his medium-pace seam bowling, he offers the versatility teams crave in the shorter formats.
Still uncapped at the international level, Islam has been rewarded for his consistency with a call-up to Oman’s squad for their maiden Asia Cup appearance in September 2025. For him, the tournament presents a priceless opportunity to test his skills against world-class opposition and strengthen his case for a long international career.
