Sufyan Yousuf

For many young cricketers, a call-up to a major tournament is the dream start — and for Sufyan Yousuf, that moment arrived with the Asia Cup 2025.

Born on December 25, 1999, Yousuf is a left-handed batter who also keeps wickets, giving Oman the flexibility of an all-round option. He has been around the domestic circuit since 2023, featuring in both List A and T20 formats.

His selection in Oman’s 17-member squad for the Asia Cup 2025 highlights the team’s faith in his ability to adapt quickly to international demands. One of four uncapped players in the squad, Yousuf is yet to make his international debut, but the chance to test himself against the likes of India and Pakistan on a continental stage could be the platform he needs to establish himself.
