Disha Kasat

Disha Deepak Kasat is a right-arm medium pacer and a batter who dons the role of captain of Vidarbha in the Indian domestic circuit. 

It all started for Kasat in the 2018 edition of the T20 Challengers Trophy for seniors. She returned with a solitary century and two half-centuries in three games and gave a strong early impression. 

In 2019-20, the Amravati-born started to prosper as an all-round batter, garnering 125 runs in three games of the U-23 One-day meet.

The right-hand batter emerged as Vidarbha’s top-scorer in the Women’s Senior One Day Trophy with 292 runs in five outings at an exceptional average of 97.33. She followed it by scoring 203 runs in six innings of the next edition and again topped Vidarbha’s batting charts. 

Disha was the leading scorer in the 2022-23 edition of the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy, with 300 runs in eight innings at an average of 60. Under her leadership, Vidarbha made it to the semi-final. 

The 25-year-old was rewarded for her remarkable performances with a contract of INR 10 Lakhs by Royal Challengers Bangalore for the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL).
