Prince Yadav

Prince Yadav, a right-arm fast bowler, rose to prominence thanks to his impressive performances in Delhi’s domestic T20 League, the Delhi Premier T20 League (DPL). In the 2024 season, he played for the Rishabh Pant-led Purani Dilli-6 and impressed former Lucknow Super Giants captain and scouts. 

Continuing his outstanding display, he earned a white-ball debut for Delhi, for whom he had previously played two Ranji Trophy games. 

Interestingly, only a day before the IPL 2025 mega auction, Prince played his maiden T20 game against Uttar Pradesh in the 2024-25 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and picked up two big wickets in a comfortable Delhi win: a set Nitish Rana and Sameer Rizvi. The very next day, IPL franchise LSG secured him for his base price of INR 30 lakh. 

He went on to take 11 wickets in his debut SMAT season, finishing with an economy rate of 7.54, becoming Delhi's highest wicket-taker and helping them reach the semi-finals. He was also Delhi's leading wicket-taker in the 50-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy that followed, with 11 wickets in six matches at an average of 22.00.

Prince followed up his debut IPL season with 16 wickets in 14 matches in 2026, emerging as one of India’s most promising young fast bowlers and earning his international debut in mid-2026. 

Prince Yadav’s consistent rise through domestic cricket and a breakthrough IPL 2026 campaign eventually earned him his maiden India ODI call-up for the home series against Afghanistan in May 2026.

For his family, the selection marked the culmination of years of sacrifice. Having played tennis-ball cricket until the age of 17 or 18, Prince often funded his own cricketing expenses, even using tuition money to buy equipment. His dream of wearing the India jersey finally became a reality when he personally called his father to share the life-changing news.
