Tejas Baroka

Born in Puducherry, Tejas Baroka is a wily leg-spinner who represents Delhi in India’s domestic cricket circuit. Before being promoted to the senior team, the player has been a part of the U-19 and U-22 setups.

Baroka made his First-Class debut for Delhi in the 2019 season of the Ranji Trophy but failed to leave an impact for the side. However, two years later, he got his List A call up in the 2021 season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT).

The wrist-spinner earned his first Indian Premier League (IPL) contract in 2017 after Gujarat Lions(GL) bought him for his base price of INR 10 lakhs. The cricketer made his debut for the franchise against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 9 but failed to impress the management then.

After being unsold in the next two seasons, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) bought the leg-spinner for his base price of INR 20 lakhs in the 2022 mega-auction of IPL. He hoped to fare well and learn loads from national representatives such as Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal.
