27-year-old Suraj Randiv is an off-spinner from Sri Lanka. Although he started playing the game as a fast bowler, Randiv switched to bowling off-breaks in his U-15 days to meet his team’s requirement. Mahela Jayawardene and Marvan Atapattu brought him to SSC after he claimed 23 wickets in an U-23 tournament in the 2003-04 season. This six-foot tall bowler made his one-day debut for Sri Lanka in 2009 during the away series against India.
He was part of the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2011 and will continue with the franchise in IPL 2012 as well.
