Kanishk Chouhan’s Early Life and Background

Born in Alasan, Rajasthan, Kanishk Chouhan was raised in a humble farming family before moving to Haryana in pursuit of better cricketing opportunities. 

His cricketing journey began at a very young age. He started formal training at just four years old, showing early signs of natural talent. Recognising his potential, his family made a significant sacrifice by relocating to Sirsa.

Kanishk Chouhan’s India Under-19 Career

Kanishk Chouhan’s rise in international youth cricket has been marked by consistency and the ability to deliver in big moments. Representing India Under-19, he quickly established himself as a dependable bowling all-rounder capable of influencing games with both bat and ball.

In the 2025 Under-19 Asia Cup, Kanishk Chouhan gained widespread attention with a standout performance against Pakistan. He played a crucial all-round role, scoring a fluent 46 and taking 3/33, earning the Player of the Match award and helping India secure a convincing win.

The biggest stage arrived at the 2026 ICC Under-19 World Cup, where he played a key role in India’s title-winning campaign. Throughout the tournament, he contributed consistently, proving himself as a reliable performer in high-stakes matches.

Kanishk Chouhan’s IPL Career

Kanishk Chouhan’s rapid progression through the Under-19 ranks earned him a place in the IPL even before transitioning fully into senior domestic cricket. Recognising his potential, Royal Challengers Bengaluru signed him for INR 30 lakh in the 2026 auction.
