Grew up playing tape-ball cricket, Muhammad Hasnain rose through the domestic ranks to become one of the fastest bowlers in Pakistan who can both seam and swing the ball around. At the age of just 20, he has the ability to clock 150 KPH more often than not.

Hasnain made his first-class debut playing for Pakistan Television against Multan in the Quaid-e-Azam on 1st September 2018 picking up 3 wickets on debut. Representing his country at both U16’s and U19, Hasnain was selected as a replacement for Naseem Shah in the Quetta Gladiator’s squad, who had to pull out due to a back injury before the 2019 edition of the PSL. He took full advantage of the opportunity presented to him and becoming a key component for the Gladiators’ title-winning side. He also clocked the fastest delivery at 151 KPH of the tournament.

The Hyderabad-born became an overnight sensation in Pakistan after his stupendous performance in the final of the 2019 PSL. The youngster picked up 3 wickets conceding just 30 runs in his spell and was later awarded as the 'Man of the Match' against a star-studded team of Peshawar.

Hasnain made his ODI debut against Australia on 24th March 2019 but failed to impress the selectors as Pakistan ended up on the losing side. The fast-bowler from Hyderabad(Pakistan) would have become the youngest player to be named in any 2019 World Cup squad, were it not for the fact that fellow Pakistan quick Shaheen Afridi is a day younger. He made his Twenty20 debut against England on 5th May 2019. Later that year, Hasnain became the youngest fast bowler to take a hat-trick in a T20I match against Sri Lanka at 19 years and 183 days old.

In June 2020, Hasnain was named in the 29-man squad to tour England but unfortunately, he was one of the 7 players in Pakistan’s squad to test positive for COVID-19 and had to isolate himself.

While his pace is undoubtedly the quickest but he hasn’t proven himself on the international stage. Still being one of the youngest in the squad, Hasnain’s control over swing and pace is splendid but he has to be more accurate to get a positive impression from his captain and coach.
