Usman Tariq (POTM): "(Any pressure on him for not taking wickets before this match?) To be very honest, I didn't feel that there is any pressure on me. It is a part of the game. I had a good economy throughout. However, I knew I had to take wickets, and I was trying and it came off today.

(Reason for the spinners not being so effective before this game) I think because we did not have good runs on the board, the opposition batters were not taking any risks and then it is tough to take wickets as they are never under pressure.

(On his cool and composed attitude) I have learnt only one thing that if your head is calm, then your body responds really well and that is something that has helped me."
Shaheen Shah Afridi (Lahore Qalandars Captain): "(Batters are facing hardship in Karachi) I think yes we are struggling but we are not out of the tournament. We are struggling and we have back-to-back games lined up. This gives us an opportunity to improve.

(On finding the way out of the struggle) I think keeping the believe on ourselves is important. We have to use our thinking to make a plan of the comeback. We have to step up as a team to win the matches.

(Lahore Qalandars do well when the pressure is on them. Do you think it is the time?) I think the time has come. Four games are there and we have to win all of them. It is not easy but we will try.

(Bowlers are doing well but are you satisfied?) Still it is responsibility for the bowlers to bowl and take the wickets in the powerplay. I hope we do well tomorrow.

(Play-offs are in Lahore) We are trying our best to go there."
Saud Shakeel (Quetta Gladiators Captain): "(Happy with the win?) Yes absolutely. We were trying to get a performance like this. A performance like this makes the dressing room happy and we needed this.

(On the spinners being more effective today) Yes exactly, we were not giving the spinners enough of a base to come up with good performances. Today their batters had to take risks and that is why the spinners came into play and performed for us.

(On everyone chipping in with the bat) Yes, if you see the batters don't have big runs accumulated but they have chipped in from time to time. Very happy for Rilee today as he bailed us out and Hasan too played some really good-looking shots."
Time for us to wrap up our coverage from the 26th game of PSL 2026. Lahore Qalandars' misery continues in Karachi as Quetta Gladiators have outplayed them and emerged out victorious by 6 wickets and with 22 balls left in the innings.

Lahore Qalandars will get another chance to make a comeback tomorrow. They will lock horns with RawalPindiZ here at the same venue from 7:30 PM IST and 7 PM Local Time. Do join us for that.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Manan Mehta, the scorer/analyst of this game Zeeshan Naiyer and the statistician Mohammad Anab. Good night.
