KL Rahul (Delhi Capitals Vice-Captain): "[the planting of the bat in the ground celebration today as well?] That was a one-time thing only.

[not today then?] No. No!

[on the match] The wicket did a little bit early on. I could see Virat and Phil Salt not happy with the way the ball was coming on and us losing 3 wickets in the first 6 doesn't make it easy for us. All in all a really good cricket game.

[on partnership with Stubbs] The conversation was to continue to play good cricket shots and see how we can find boundaries and still put the pressure on the bowlers. We didn't want to go in our shell and then run rate keeps climbing up and then it gets harder and harder towards the end. We saw that wen we bowled as well. There was a little bit of reverse swing as well. The opposition has some good death bowlers as well so we didn't want to take it too deep. We just wanted to stay in the moment, take one over at a time and try and put pressure on the bowlers.

[on the final overs] There was faith in Stubbs and Miller. They do this on a daily for South Africa and franchise cricket so we also knew the last over was going to be a gamble for RCB as well and we knew that probably Romario or Suyash will bowl which gives our batters a good chance to hit 2 sixes in the last over. Ideally we wouldn't have wanted it to go till the 20th over but we'll take the win."

Tristan Stubbs (Player of the Match): [thoughts when walking in to bat] "I wasn't quite ready in the dressing room. Just watch the ball and going from there. Came in really early and last two overs of the powerplay I thought I could have a go. KL ended up having most of the strike and played great shots and kept up our momentum. I thought he's going well so I was just giving him the strike.

[on the pitch] It wasn't spinning or anything but just a little slow and low. Pretty much what I play on back at home.

[on the finish] Kept thinking three sixes and we're straight back in it. I always thought the worst case, in the last over we can get whatever we need. But I didn't want to take it into the last over. I knew we were going to do it, I didn't know how. But thankfully Miller was at the other end. It's his bread and butter."
