Riyan Parag (Rajasthan Royals Captain): "[Pleased with the turnaround?] Very pleased. Firstly, I believe we felt we were really short at the halfway mark. The way the wicket was playing when Hettie and I were batting, we need to be better. I thought even with the situation we were in, 180 would have been a nice total. I knew, it would slow down later but yeah, bowlers...

[On the batting approach] No, it is because of the wickets. At the start of the tournament, the message was that we will be a team that assesses and adapts. I feel last two games, the wickets we got, they had to adapt. They batted according to the wicket and not just how they wanted to bat. They get a flat wicket, they go guns blazing and if they get another wicket like this, they can take some time and then we move on from there.

[On having Burger and Archer] I am blessed. To have two bowlers to bowl three, three in the powerplay at this stage of the game or how T20 is evolving is commendable. The wicket was helping a more to the seamers but we knew it will swing in the 2nd innings. The way we bowled and fielded was impressive.

[On the trend of starting well and losing out in the later stages] The message on the groups have been very positive. I had gone through something, even now I am going through something and everyone understands that. Everyone has been very supportive. If I go tomorrow, it is not about how many runs I have got, it is about what the team wants. If they want me to strike at 200 from ball one, I will do that."
Player of the Match: Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja (POTM): "[How pleased is he after winning the POTM tonight?] Yeah, feeling good. You know, getting the Man of the Match award and winning the game for my team, I am feeling good. Before I start, I would like to dedicate this award to the Education Minister of Gujarat (Rivaba Ravindrasinh Jadeja). She told me yesterday that I was going to do wonders tomorrow (this game). So, I want to thank her.

[What does he tell himself when he walks out to bat during a crisis situation?] The wicket wasn't that easy because the ball was seaming and swinging. I thought that would let me play as long as I can. That is what I was talking to Donovan Ferreira and whoever was coming in next. I just told him to bat longer. In T20 cricket, you never know, last over you can cash in, and we did. We got 20 runs in the last over. So, that is the thinking behind it.

[On his batting in the last over against Mayank Yadav] Coming from injury, it's not easy to bowl at that pace. I was just backing my strength. I was telling my partner to back ourselves and play good shots. As I said, on this wicket, the ball was seaming a lot, and the bounce was there. So, it's not that easy to play any shots at any given point.

[On Nicholas Pooran's wicket celebration, whether he is in his pocket?] Yes, he is in my pocket (chuckles). Nothing! Just a random thought came into my mind, and I did it.

[On his bowling speed] No, the ball was gripping a little bit. So I was just thinking: should I bowl quicker on this wicket, or slower? So I thought, "Okay, I'll bowl a few slow balls." And then I realised that, yeah, if I bowl slowly, I might get a little bit of hold from the wicket. So that is what I was looking to do.

[On his bowling to Mitchell Marsh] Because that side was on the mid-wicket side, long-on side a little bit shorter compared to other sides. So I knew that he might play that shot at some stage. So I was just bowling and mixing up with my pace, slow, wide and full ball also.

[On whether he suddenly started to become Wasim Akram? As Murali Kartik cheekily speaks about the speed at which he bowled] No, no, no, no... Tonight, I was looking to bowl slow."
Another commanding display from Rajasthan Royals as they return to winning ways in style, climbing up to second spot on the table. Remarkably, that turns out to be the lowest total defended in a full 20-over game this season.

On the flip side, it’s now four defeats on the trot for LSG, and plenty of concerns to address. Their skipper, Rishabh Pant, will need to lead from the front as the team finds itself struggling in 9th place with just two wins from seven matches.

Up next, all eyes shift to the iconic Wankhede Stadium for the El Clasico β€” Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings. Both sides are desperate for a win, and it promises to be a cracking contest tomorrow.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ajay Pal Singh and AkshayaKrishna Polya who, along with scorers/analysts Paras Yadav and Manish Bishnoi & statistician Aman brought all the updates of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. BYE BYEπŸ‘‹
