Ajinkya Rahane (Kolkata Knight Riders captain): (How's the heart rate?) Settled now. (Smiles) Really happy with the victory. When we were batting, Rinku's innings turned it around. Credit goes to him for scoring those runs at the end and turning it towards us.
(On the planning for this venue) We played (Syed) Mushtaq Ali (Trophy) here. The soil here was like what we experienced in Mushtaq Ali. But our powerplay was bad. We need to work on it. But the bowling unit did well.
(His message to the players when fielding) It was always about having the belief. One wicket here or there and we were in business. And that is what happened. In the middle overs with Sunil (Narine) and Varun (Chakaravarthy) and even Anukul, he has been brilliant, with them we knew we could pull it back.
(On going to Narine for the Super Over) Sunil was the option. He has been bowling fantastic. Even Kartik Tyagi has been fantastic. Last over tough over. I like about him is his confidence and clarity. Vaibhav (Arora) too. All these Indian boys have been fantastic. But lets not take anything away from Rinku.
(On rotating the bowlers around in such a situation) Yes, it is challenging. But you have to stay in the moment. Who is batting, what is the run rate needed. Using the longer boundary is what we spoke about. It is about being clear when u are on the run up. Execute your plans. If it doesn't work, it does not. But clarity is important."
