West Indies Women Won: 8
Preview by Ajay Pal Singh

Ireland, West Indies and Pakistan will square off in a tri-series in Dublin as preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup gather pace. All matches in the competition will be played at the Castle Avenue, Clontarf Cricket Club Ground, with hosts Ireland taking on former champions West Indies in the opening fixture.

Hayley Matthews will lead the visitors, who boast a good mix of experience and youth in their squad.

The likes of Deandra Dottin, Stafanie Taylor and Afy Fletcher bring plenty of experience to the side, with all three having played over 100 T20Is for the West Indies.

Things have not gone West Indies' way in the recent past. They have lost two back-to-back home series to Sri Lanka and Australia.

However, in ICC events, they tend to up their game and can be a dangerous side.

The likes of Karishma Ramharack and Zaida James will handle the spin-bowling duties. In the pace department, Jahzara Claxton, Jannillea Glasgow and Chinelle Henry will spearhead the pace bowling attack.

For Ireland, star all-rounder Orla Prendergast will lead the side.

There's a late change to the Irish squad with Laura Delany ruled out because of an injury. Alice Tector was named as her replacement and she will also replace Delany in the T20 World Cup squad as well.

Amy Hunter, Leah Paul and Rebecca Stokell are all well-experienced.

Ireland have never beaten the West Indies in a WT20I and looking at the visitors' recent form, this could be the best chance for the Irish team to get one over the Windies.

The Irish team finished second on the table in the Women's T20 World Cup qualifier and would look to start the home tri-series on a winning note.

Can Ireland Women register their first-ever T20I win over the West Indies? To find out, tune in at 7:30 PM IST, 3 PM Local Time for its live coverage.
