Incredible penultimate over from Khalidi. He picked up two wickets and gave away just five runs. Just one over remaining in the innings now and the rain has also returned. The umpires have decided to stay on and get through the final over. 
Dale Phillips comes into the attack and he will bowl the final over. The rain meanwhile is coming down harder.

Right arm around. Low full-toss, drifting to the 4th stump. Arm ball. Takes it on full and then drives it hard to the deep extra cover region for a solo. Oh no! Looks like the rain has started coming down again. Players are going off the field. We will have another rain interruption.
It is absolutely pelting down here and the umpires have decided to go off the field now. The ground staff are bringing on the covers. It is really dark at the moment and we only hope that it clears out.

6:49 PM IST , 3:19 PM Local Time- The rain has eased out but the storm has taken its impact as the first game of the day has been abandoned. The groundstaff tried really hard but with another game in the day it was just not possible to get the ground ready on time for a five over contest. Both the teams will share the points from this contest. 
The Liege Red Lions were struggling at 82/6 when the game was called off due to rain. Earlier, they were in a spot of bother as they had lost three wickets in the powerplay.The ball kept low and did a fair bit in the middle as Jack Jarvis picked up three wickets. du Plessis, Ben Dunk and Ali Raza all departed quickly.

Shoaib Malik and Gerhard Erasmus began the rebuilding and the after the rain break, the pair went berserk and smashed a few big ones. Sheldon Cottrell got Malik in the 9th over as he went after scoring 26 and Erasmus departed soon after for 28. 

Khalid Ahmadi bowled an incredible penultimate over as he picked up a couple of wickets. Akcel United managed to keep the scoring rate down before the rain returned in the final over of the innings. Among others, Cottrell was the pick of the bowlers giving away just five runs from his three over spell while Danru Ferns was expensive. 
A frustrating day for the cricket fans as rain had the last say. It is a no-result game and both teams will share the points between themselves.
