Chasing 158, the Falcons lost Awais Khan (6) cheaply. Naman Jhawar looked good for his 22 before he fell in the last over of the powerplay. Gautam Waghela joined Ishan Mulchandani and both kept the Panthers at bay with a well-constructed partnership.
Mulchandani brought up a well-composed fifty off 35 balls. Mulchandani holed out in the deep on 65 as the 77-run stand came to an end in the 15th over. Waghela was joined by skipper Aditya Tare and both remained unbeaten on 45 and 10 respectively as they took their side across the line in 18.1 overs. The Falcons chased down 158 with seven wickets in hand to keep themselves alive in the tournament.

Mayuresh Tandel (Player of the Match): "Batters were confident. We saw their intent while batting. We did well in this run chase. I focus on my basics. I tried to bowl dot balls. When the batters tried to hit big shots, it helped me. I will dedicate this award to my family and my son."
