(On changing his gears at the crucial moment) The ball was coming on in a certain way, so I was just taking my chances and hitting it. It wasn't that I was thinking about the rain. I was simply hitting the ball according to how it was coming.
(On targeting the leg side) I had an idea that he might bowl a slower ball. The way Abhinandan was bowling, I knew he could bowl that kind of delivery, so I played the shot behind him. That was something I had in mind—that he might bowl that ball.
(Does the team depend on you too much?) No, it's nothing like that. We have a lot of good players. It's just that they aren't in form at the moment. Once they find their form, all the batsmen will perform well."

A brilliant performance from Meerut Mavericks skipper Rinku Singh. His side was behind for the most part in this game but his hitting at the back end helped them secure a five-run victory (DLS method). Lucknow Falcons will be kicking themselves as they were ahead in this game throughout but a couple of expensive overs cost them badly.
