Sameer Rizvi (Kanpur Superstars Captain): “(On the first win of the season) Starting every season, we usually struggle a little at the beginning. The team and I tend to get going after two or three matches, so hopefully it will be the same this time as well, and we can finish the season strongly.
(On the arrival of Mohsin Khan making a difference) Obviously, it has made a huge difference. After we lost three matches in a row, he really motivated the team and helped us move forward. He guided the bowlers on the field and, as captain, explained things to them over every over and every ball. That helped us a lot.
Somewhere, we were lacking a bit in the death overs, and he has made a big difference there. His arrival also gave the team a lot of motivation. He bowled his four overs really well, and we got a good result too.
(On top-order not clicking) Yes, sir. Today, Adarsh batted deep into the innings, I also batted deep, and PP gave us a good start. So, I'm a little happier with our batting today.
(On Ajay Kumar) Yes, he works extremely hard, sir. Before the UP T20, he was also injured, so he worked really hard to make a comeback. In three of our four matches, he has bowled really well. I'm very happy for him and I hope he continues performing like this going forward.

The match went down to the last over but Kanpur Superstars were in a comfortable position all the time. In the end, they registered a win by seven wickets over Lucknow Falcons. Kanpur have won their first game of the season while Lucknow have suffered back-to-back defeats now.
