04:00 PM IST and Local Time- It has been a dark and gloomy day in Delhi. The covers are still in place and there is no new update from the ground. We might be heading towards a washout. 

04:30 PM IST and Local Time- Still extremely dark in Delhi. The covers have remained in place for the last three hours and there is nothing new to update. 

04:50 PM IST and Local Time - We have some unfortunate news from the venue. The first game of the day has been ABANDONED due to heavy rainfall. The ground still remains firmly under covers and we can only hope that the rain recedes as we wait for some action from the evening contest. 

Right so, both East Delhi Riders and West Delhi Lions will be extremely disappointed with the result but one can never beat the weather, especially in Delhi during this time of the year.
