7 PM IST and Local Time: The T20 carnival of Kerala is in it's final day. Two best teams will fight it out for one glittering trophy. Interestingly, they both did not finish in the top two of the points table, but overpowered the top sides in the semi-final to book a berth in the summit clash. Thrissur Titans and Calicut Globstars will lock horns in this game. This is a repeat clash of the inaugural game of KCL T20 2026, and we have both the teams in the finale.

Thrissur Titans snatched a victory from the jaws of Trivandrum Royals yesterday in the first semi-final. Batting first, Royals posted 163/5 in their 20 overs. Abhishek P Nair and Govind Pai got the starts, but failed to convert them to a big score. At one point, they were struggling at 93/5, but Akshay Manohar and Nikhil M stepped up and added an unbeaten 70-run stand to take the team score to 163/5. Manohar was the top scorer with his 53 and Nikhil scored 28. For Titans, Biju Narayanan picked up 2 wickets for 20 runs. Anand Joseph also picked up 2 wickets, but conceded 32. Skipper MS Akhil took a wicket.

Thrissur Titans lost both their openers for cheap scores, but Imran Ahammed and Shoun Roger rebuilt with a 45-run stand. MS Akhil hit 3 sixes to score 27. In the 18th over, Titans needed 27 from 16 balls, but a mini collapse put them in trouble. Sharon SS, Mohammed Enaan and Biju Narayanan perished and Akhil was dismissed in the final ball of the 19th over. Titans needed 15 from the final over and Anand Joseph scripted something unbelievable. He hit a boundary and a couple of maximums in the last three balls of the game and brought victory for his side with a ball to spare. 

Calicut Globstars' victory over Alleppey Ripples was much dominating one. Batting first, they got a good foundation as Varun Nayanar and skipper Rohan Kunnummal added 83 runs for the first wicket. But soon they lost Rohan, Akhil Scaria and Jose Perayil. Nayanar scored 59 off 42 balls before being retired out. Abdul Basith (53 off 24) and Krishna Devan (24* off 11) played two sensational knocks to post 218 on the board for their side. Ajith Raj picked up 2 wickets and Jalaj Saxena took a wicket.

In reply, the Ripples lost Akash Pillai and Mohammad Azharuddeen early, but skipper Sachin Baby and the impact sub Arun KA did not give up. They batted at their best and added 152 runs for the third wicket. In the 17th over, Ripples needed 58 runs and it was not impossible for them. Jose Perayil had other plans and he triggered a collapse for the Ripples. Sachin Baby (73) found the fielder, S P Girish perished a couple of balls later. Akhil Scaria got the better of Arun (82) in the next over and the game was all done. Eventually, the Ripples fell short by 36 runs as they ended with 182/8.

Jose Perayil bagged the player of the match award for his 3/33 in 4 overs. Akhil Scaria and Ibnul Afthab picked up 2 wickets each. Akhin Sathar picked up a wicket.
