Saket: Australia have made it into the finals of the tournament after thrashing West Indies by a huge margin of 157 runs. The Women in Maroon never looked like they had a chance to win this game as Australia were all over them from the get go.
West Indies won the toss and opted to bowl first which did not not go their way at all. Australia put up a massive partnership of 216 runs for the first wicket with Alyssa Healy scoring 129 runs off just 107 deliveries. The team used the momentum set up by the openers to post a massive total on the board.
Rachel Haynes contributed with a score of 85 runs off 100 deliveries to provide the stability to her side as they managed to post a mammoth of 305 runs on the board in 45 overs.

little bit of not quite where I wanted it to be at the start of the tournament.
But happy with today’s performance. It’s been a group effort so far. Everyone
has stepped up and it’s been a combined effort from all of us. It’s all about the patience game. We have to ride the ebbs and flows. Sometimes they will be on
top and then we can be on top later on. So it’s all about patience in the ODIs.
Rachael helps me in many ways while we are batting together. We wanted to be at
the Hagley Oval on the third and that’s what we have achieved. Nice
place to be in the middle and everyone has been amazing for us. We
will sit back and see who we face in the final and prepare accordingly."
Stafanie Taylor | West Indies Captain: "Ah! I think that partnership took the the game away from us. It deflated our side. Dropped catches would not help the cause either. See we discussed some simple things at mid innings break. To play positively and bat in partnerships. Rashada and Dottin at the top, Hayley too at three and then me at 4 should have batted bit more freely. Once they crossed 200-mark without losing any wicket, our shoulders were down. We needed to bowl bit more tighter as we did in earlier matches. And some injuries for our players made it difficult. I wasn't at my best in this tournament with the ball and bat but the team has done well."
Meg Lanning | Australia Captain: "I thought Healy and Haynes set it up nicely for us. West Indies bowled really well upfront. I thought we planned it well and set a really good base. We felt that the first hour was really important. We've played here a number of times on a fresh wicket. The way Healy and Haynes played was great, they left a lot of balls which is important in these conditions. We often speak about how to make maximum use of our batting line-up and today it meant sending her (Gardner) up the order. Yes, it was (almost the perfect game). Anytime you win a semifinal, you got to enjoy the moment but we were quite good in all departments. We don't mind whoever we face to be honest, both are really good teams and we'll be watching tomorrow's game."
