7:40 AM IST, 10:10 PM Local Time: West Indies script history defeating England by 4 wickets (DLS) and winning the 3-match series by 2-1 after dominating in the first and final games of the series!
The hosts won the toss and elected to bowl first in a rain hit encounter. The game was earlier reduced to 43 and then 40 overs with England scoring 206/9. For West Indies, debutant Matthew Forde picked up 3/29.
The game was intervened by rain again mid innings and West Indies were later asked to chase down 188 in 34 overs. Gus Atkinson made early inroads with Brandon King's departure in the 2nd over itself.
Alick Athanaze (45 off 51) and Keacy Carty (50 off 58) added 76 runs for the second wicket and put the hosts in the driving seat. The pair was broken by Atkinson again who got rid of Athanaze in the 14th over.
Shai Hope started off well but departed scoring 15 in 10 balls, Rehan Ahmed claiming his only wicket of the match. It was Will Jacks who chipped in with 3 important wickets in consecutive overs to pull England back from the slump. The spinners put the brakes on the scoring rate prompting the required rate to climb over a-run-a-ball.
Carty became Jacks' third wicket and was dismissed right after completing his half century. Debutant Matthew Forde batting at 8 was confident and scored an unbeaten 13 off 16 deliveries with Romario Shepherd finishing the innings with 41 in 28 balls hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes.
The momentum shifted towards the men in maroon in the 31st over when Gus Atkinson in his comeback spell started off conceding 2 maximums off full tosses failing to grip the ball because of dew and ended up conceding 24 runs in the over.
With only 9 needed off the final 3 overs, Shepherd and Forde guided the team to a famous win. Jacks was the pick of the bowler with figures of 3/22. Atkinson picked up the first 2 wickets but was expensive. Rehan Ahmed impressed in the series and finished with 1/37. Potts and Curran were economic but failed to pick up a wicket.

It was always special for me, I'm 21 and I'm living my dream, thanks to everyone for making it possible. I missed two games before this, making my debut here in front of my mom and dad, it's heart-warming.
The wicket was a bit tacking, giving some seam moment and the plan was to bowl consistently in the length area and it paid off. Shephy are the ultimate strongness you can achieve, and I'm always trying to follow him and guys like him"

Jos Buttler (England Captain): "I think we were few short with the bat. There was a period when we were 40/2 then 50/5. Good partnership from Duckett and Livingstone to get us up to a score. We fought really well with the ball but just not enough.
Rain interruptions are challenging but the lads have played a lot of cricket. You need to be used to it. We know we made a few mistakes with the bat. We were unable to build those big partnerships we needed to put a big score on the board.
I thought it was a very good effort from the guys. Picked up that early wicket and then the spinners were outstanding. Will Jacks with a brilliant spell that really brought us back into the game. We could've done with a few more runs in the end. Challenging conditions for the seamers.
Its a start of a long journey for this side. Some really young guys who got their first taste in ODI cricket and hopefully can learn a lots from this series going on and we could build something for the future.

That should be a motivator for most of the batters, I've set a good example and hopefully they can learn and contribute too. Way too much history in cricket man, it's hard to keep up sometime. We need to defend our home turf and that's what we are aiming for.
