Matthew Walter Forde, hailing from Barbados, is a dynamic West Indian all-rounder captivating cricket fans with his versatile skill set. A right-arm fast-medium bowler and right-handed batsman, Forde has swiftly carved a niche with his disciplined bowling and valuable lower-order contributions. His talent sparkled in the 2019 Under-19 tri-series, where he led the West Indies’ wicket-takers with a stellar 3.69 economy rate. At the 2020 Under-19 World Cup, he stole the show with 3 for 24 against Australia, mimicking Sheldon Cottrell’s iconic salute celebration.
Forde broke into senior cricket with St Lucia Kings in the 2022 Caribbean Premier League, impressing with his control. His List A debut for Combined Campuses and Colleges came in October 2022, followed by an international debut in December 2023, claiming 3 wickets in his first ODI against England. His T20I debut soon followed.
A sought-after T20 league star, Forde represents teams like Comilla Victorians and Islamabad United.
